Who We Are
PATH Academy, located on a beautiful shady campus behind Oglethorpe university, is a 2012-2013 Title I Performance Empowered School (Formally Title I Distinguished School) for fifth through eighth graders. Our highly qualified, dedicated, and diverse faculty and staff are committed to our unique and challenging educational environment.
Our Mission and Vision
PATH Academy strives to create a safe and nurturing learning environment in which refugee, immigrant and local children from the Chamblee, Doraville and Clarkston areas in DeKalb County, Georgia can develop the knowledge, skills, and character needed to succeed in top-quality high schools, colleges, and the competitive world beyond regardless of their socio-economic and linguistic barriers.
PATH Academy holds fast to its belief that all children regardless of economic and linguistic background can achieve their full potential as productive, knowledgeable, responsible, and caring individuals if they are given a chance to learn in a school that provides and demands academic excellence and personal responsibilities. PATH Academy’s academic approach is standard-driven that utilizes its students’ academic achievement data. Such an approach derives from the school’s commitment to its mission.
